Note that Samantha will be studying interstate from late-June to end July 2024. Regular patients will be offered telehealth services over this period.
Changes to Medicare Rebates for 2023
Medicare have reduced the number of rebates available for psychology services from twenty per year in 2022 down to ten per year in 2023. This means that between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2023, you will only receive a Medicare Rebate for ten psychology appointments. For this reason, we have increased the length of our appointment times to allow for better use of rebates. As a result, costs have also increased slightly (please see below).
Fee Increases for 2023
Please note fee increases for psychology services in 2023 in accordance with slightly longer appointment times. You will now incur an out-of-pocket cost of either $10.00, $45.00 or $67.50 depending on the length of your appointment. If you use the online booking system these costs are slightly less. Bulk billing appointments continue to be available to children school and pensioners.
Leave 2023
Please note that Samantha James will be on leave from January 1, 2023, until January 17, 2023.
Appointments October 2021 - December 2021
End of year is usually a busy time in the clinic with many wanting to use up their 2021 Medicare entitlements. If you are an existing patient and cannot find an online appointment available, please contact either the receptionist or Samantha (via sms). We are booking new patients from January 2022.
Saturday appointments:
Saturday appointments will be available from July 2021. At this stage there are two consulting Saturdays per month.
On leave:
Samantha will not be consulting for the week 7th - 12th June 2021. There will also be reduced services during the July school holidays.
Bye Seaford Day and Night Clinic:
From 31 March 2021, Samantha will no longer be at the Seaford Day and Night Clinic. The Seaford Day and Night Clinic have required all Allied Health Professionals to vacate their rooms in order to make way for new GPs arriving this year. Samantha worked in this location for over ten years and has fond memories of her time there.
New Location:
Samantha will be opening her private clinic in the historic town of Willunga from January 2021. The address is 7 High Street Willunga. It is envisaged that this clinic will provide a range of health-related services as well as psychology. More info and pics in the upcoming weeks!
Bye Seaford Heights Medical Centre:
Samantha will not be consulting from the Seaford HEIGHTS Medical Centre from 2021. Seaford HEIGHTS patients are encouraged to contact the receptionist to discuss where and how to continue their treatment with Samantha at her other clinic locations.
